If you or your employees perform repairs, maintenance, painting, rehabilitation, remodeling or renovation on components painted with lead-based paint in housing build before 1978, and if that housing receives any federal assistance, then you and/or your employees must be trained in "Lead-Safe Work Practices".
Upon successful completion of this one-day course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion stating that you are trained in lead-safe work practices and meet the requirements of the HUD Lead-Safe Housing Rule for interim control of lead paint hazards.

This training course presents procedures for minimizing lead dust generation and soil contamination during maintenance/renovation/remodeling activities as defined by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Note: This class is not for EPA Certification of Lead Abatement Workers, but rather enables workers to perform maintenance, renovations, remodeling or rehab work on housing components that contain lead-based paint. EPA Certification is for companies that are in the business of lead-paint abatement instead of housing rehabilitation or renovation.
